Matt is Vice President & European Leader for IBM Interactive Experience (IBM iX), a next generation services organisation that helps the world's leading brands reinvent customer experiences that drive growth.
New customer insights call for new strategies and capabilities. Under Matt’s leadership IBM Interactive Experience has been driving the 'customer revolution’ that is reshaping future customer experiences, business models and value propositions through investment in their Watson technology to pioneer the next generation of Cognitive experiences, market changing partnerships such as the Apple & IBM alliance and acquisitions such as the Weather Company.
Matt oversees a multi-disciplinary team of several thousand resources across Europe who collaborate using the best design, strategy, technology, analytics, mobile and wearables practices to generate transformational ideas for clients across all industry segments (e.g BP Castrol, Orange, BSH, Wimbledon, Boots, Vodafone, National Grid, Nationwide Building Society).
Matt has worked for IBM his whole career, starting with PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting division prior to its acquisition in 2002. During this time he has focused on complex multi-channel business transformation engagements for clients across multiple industries around the world.
His passion for all things digital extends to ensuring that the expertise and knowledge continues by recruiting the best possible talent to IBM. He is the executive sponsor for IBM's 'Consulting by Degrees' graduate programme in the UK and has overall responsibility for the recruitment, induction, training, and development of its graduate population.
In 2015, Matt was ranked No.2 in The Drum's Digerati, an annual list celebrating the UK's most influential individuals within the digital industry. Recently, he completed a postgraduate diploma in Strategy & Innovation at Saïd Business School, Oxford University.
