Mark leads Accenture’s Interactive’s and Accenture Digital's United Kingdom & Ireland business in the Resources sector. Accenture Interactive has been recognised as a world leader in Customer Experience by Gartner and was recently identified as the largest and fastest growing digital agency network in the world by AdAge. Mark works across the Oil and Gas, Energy and Utilities industries to help transform the way businesses market , sell and service their customers in the digital era. Mark builds solutions that combine service design, omni-channel interactivity, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence and personalization to create success.
Mark has a 20 year heritage in the world of digital – he was instrumental in developing early prototypes of interactive TV, developed the world’s first online download music chart for MTV Undiscovered and has lead the creation of many online customer service portals for governments, transport systems, healthcare providers, universities, membership organizations and charities, in the UK and Australia. Mark joined Accenture from Precedent, a leading digital strategy, design and development agency where, as Global Commercial Director, he was part of the leadership team that grew the business from start-up to 120 experts across 7 international studios. Mark has spoken at events globally on digital transformation and customer experience, and is a regular commentator on digital interactions and business change in the press and through his blog and social media channels.
Mark is a manifestation of Accenture’s own digital transformation – bringing new digitally native approaches to consulting and delivery into the organization. He works closely with Accenture Interactive, Accenture’s service design agency Fjord, and combines these with the best of Accenture’s Strategy, Consulting, Operations and Technology services to deliver truly transformational solutions.
Mark was flattered to be included in The Drum’s Digerati list last year, and in a more traditional sphere of achievements, holds an MBA with distinction from Cass Business School. When not working or trying to keep up with his two young boys, Mark loves to ski, sail, cook and dance – ideally not all at the same time!
